In addition to the seven MIDI ins and seven MIDI outs, the rear panel houses the RS232 PC, RS422 Mac serial, USB, and power sockets. All the LEDs are bright and clearly visible.
There's also a red LED to indicate whether you're in patch mode or computer mode, and a power button with a further red LED. I have found better In all versions of Mac OS before my connected AMT 8 was detected and the driver was installed automatically over the App Store. The first box in my chain is a Unitor, then five AMT8's. It works pretty well, although it does drop the midi chain from time to time. As far as I know, this driver should work with both Unitors and AMT8's. I have a Mac Pro 3.0, and I'm using the emagic USB Midi Driver version 1.5.
